Elisabetta D’Arienzo was born in Salerno in 1987 and grew up in Vietri sul Mare, where she approached ceramic art in the family workshop. Sculptor, ceramist, illustrator, she cultivates her passion for art by graduating from the art school and studying sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. The need to deepen artistic representation brings her closer to illustration: she specializes in the Italian school of Comix, where he strengthens his own style and coloring techniques. The passion for human beauty in all its strengths and weaknesses leads her to draw sinuous shapes, where the strong characterization of the figure places the accent on its emotionality rather than on its appearance. Since 2016 he has taught ceramic decoration and modeling at the B.A.R Association and at the Fabrica cultural center in Vietri sul Mare; in 2022 he curates ceramic workshops for the Icaro cooperative in Salerno in favor of people with intellectual and neurodevelopment disabilities. He won the first prize at the national competition of Appignano under 35, and has participated in many exhibitions throughout Italy, in turn organizing in 2022 the event-exhibition “Sono cup of you!-100 smashing women designers” in Vietri, and in 2020 the event “Pottery in the city”, artistic ceramic performance during “Buongiorno Ceramica”, a national event promoted by AiCC , Italian Association of Ceramic Cities. He currently works in Vietri sul Mare, experimenting with new forms in handcrafted ceramics.
